July Newsletter

• Vacation Bible School will be held July 13 -17 at the United Methodist Church. It's being hosted by the Corbin Methodist Church with Julia Strnad cooridinating the event. Registration forms on in the narthex.  The church is offering scholarships to cover registration fees, so let Pastor Bob or any session member know if you're planning on attending. A list of items needed is also posted on the bulletin board.  

         
• A church-wide picnic/worship  in the park will be held August 23, 2009 at the city park.  Worship will begin at the regular time (10:30 a.m.) followed by a pot-luck dinner. Hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks  and homemade ice cream will be provided so plan to bring a side dish and your lawn chair!  Bob is also planning on special worship music.  Should be a fun day!
 
• The new sidewalk/parking area is finally completed!  A dedication ceremony is in the works.  Thank you to everyone who helped  make this project a reality!
 
• Pastor Bob is planning a new bible study following worship beginning in September. We'll order pizza or have a "brown bag" fellowship lunch prior to the study.  Hope you'll plan to join us!
